Upper Limb Risk Assessment

Overview

The Upper Limb Risk Assessment is a structured ergonomic evaluation framework used to systematically identify and quantify the risk factors associated with work -related upper limb disorders — covering repetition, force, awkward posture, static loading, vib ration, contact stress, and environmental factors such as cold and glare. ULRA frameworks are used as comprehensive screening tools that draw on multiple validated assessment methods — applying the most appropriate tool for each identified risk factor rath er than relying on a single assessment instrument. This multi -method approach provides a more complete picture of upper limb ergonomic risk than any single tool can deliver — and is particularly suited to complex tasks where several risk factors interact.
