MSD & RSI Prevention Programme

MSD & RSI Prevention Programme

What is MSD & RSI Prevention Programme?

A Musculoskeletal Disorder and Repetitive Strain Injury Prevention Programme is a structured, organisation -wide initiative designed to systematically reduce the risk of work -related musculoskeletal disorders — MSD — and repetitive strain injuries — RSI — through a combination of workplace assessment, ergonomic redesign, training, monitoring, and management system improvements. MSDs are the most common category of work -related illness globally — and in most workplaces, the risk factors that cause them are id entifiable, measurable, and controllable.

ErgoTatva designs MSD and RSI prevention programmes that are tailored to the specific risk profile of each client — beginning with a baseline assessment to identify the most significant sources of musculoskeletal r isk, followed by a phased intervention plan covering workstation improvements, manual handling controls, training, early symptom reporting systems, and periodic review. The programme is designed to be embedded into the organisation's existing health and sa fety management system rather than operating as a standalone initiative.

Organisations with structured MSD and RSI prevention programmes consistently report reductions in injury rates, absence days, and healthcare costs — alongside improvements in worker c omfort, morale, and productivity. The investment in prevention is a fraction of the cost of managing musculoskeletal disorders after they develop — and the human benefit to the workers who are protected from chronic pain and disability is immeasurable.
