ROSA
Rapid Office Strain Assessment
Overview
ROSA is an ergonomic assessment tool — specifically designed to evaluate the risk of musculoskeletal discomfort associated wit h office workstation use. The tool assesses five workstation components — the chair, monitor and telephone, keyboard and mouse, and the combinations thereof — producing a final ROSA score that ranges from one to ten and maps to a risk level from negligible to very high. ROSA is particularly valued for its ability to quantify office ergonomic risk using a standardised, reproducible scoring system — enabling comparison across workstations and tracking of improvement following ergonomic interventions.
