A Post -Intervention Assessment is a focused ergonomic evaluation conducted after a specific ergonomic improvement has been implemented — verifying that the inte rvention has been correctly installed or applied, that it is functioning as intended, and that it has achieved the reduction in ergonomic risk that it was designed to deliver.
Implementing an ergonomic control without verifying its effectiveness is a misse d opportunity — because interventions that are incorrectly installed, poorly received by workers, or inadequately maintained may fail to reduce risk and may in some cases introduce new problems.
The assessment uses the same validated tools applied in the o riginal assessment — RULA, REBA, NIOSH, OCRA, or others as applicable — to quantify ergonomic risk after the intervention and compare the result against the pre -intervention baseline. Worker feedback on comfort, usability, and acceptance of the interventio n is also gathered — because an ergonomic control that workers do not use or have adapted around provides no protection regardless of its technical specification. Post -Intervention Assessments close the loop on the ergonomics improvement cycle — providing the evidence that an intervention has worked, identifying any need for adjustment or supplementary action, and generating the before -and-after data that organisations need to justify continued ergonomics investment to management, report to investors, and d emonstrate the value of their ergonomics programme.
Our certified ergonomists are available across India. From workplace assessments to complete ergonomic redesigns, a conversation is all it takes to improve employee health and productivity.
