IAQ Monitoring
Indoor Air Quality Monitoring
Overview
Indoor Air Quality monitoring is the systematic measurement of air quality parameters within enclosed workspaces — assessing concentrations of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, temperature, relative humidity, and other pollutants that affect the health, comfort, and cognitive performance of building occupants. Poor indoor air quality is associated with sick building syndrome, headaches, fatigue, respiratory irritation, reduced concentration, and increased absen teeism — collectively referred to as building -related illness. IAQ monitoring is conducted using calibrated multi -parameter instruments and dataloggers — with results compared against guidelines from the World Health Organisation, ASHRAE Standard 62.1, and applicable Indian Standards for workplace air quality.
