A Periodic Ergonomics Review is a scheduled, structured reassessment of ergonomic conditions in a workplace — conducted at defined intervals to verify that previously identified ergono mic risks have been adequately controlled, that new risks have not emerged, and that the ergonomic improvements implemented since the last review are delivering the intended benefits. Ergonomics is not a static discipline — workplaces change, workforces ch ange, tasks change, and the ergonomic risk profile of an organisation changes with them.
A review programme ensures that the organisation's understanding of its ergonomic risk remains current and that its controls remain effective. The review examines workstation conditions, task demands, environmental factors, and worker - reported discomfort data — comparing current conditions against the baseline established in the previous assessment and against the corrective actions committed to in the risk control plan.
Where new risks are identified or existing controls are found to be inadequate, updated recommendations are provided — and the risk control plan is revised accordingly. Organisations that conduct ergonomics assessments without per iodic reviews frequently find that improvements regress over time — workstations drift back to poor configurations, new equipment is introduced without ergonomic consideration, and workforce changes bring new risk factors that were not present at the time of the original assessment. Periodic Ergonomics Reviews prevent this regression — ensuring that ergonomics investment delivers sustained, long -term benefit rather than a one -time improvement that gradually erodes.
Our certified ergonomists are available across India. From workplace assessments to complete ergonomic redesigns, a conversation is all it takes to improve employee health and productivity.
