An Organisation -Wide Ergonomics Baseline Survey is a broad, structured assessment of ergonomic conditions and musculoskeletal health across an entire organisation or facility — establishing the starting point from which an ergonomics programme is built. Rather than evaluating individual workstations in isolation, a baseline survey captures the full picture — mapping ergonomic risk across departments, roles, and work areas, and identifying the prev alence of musculoskeletal discomfort and injury across the workforce through structured worker surveys.
The survey combines physical workplace observations across all departments with worker self - reported discomfort data collected using validated tools inc luding the Nordic Body Map — which identifies the body regions affected by work -related musculoskeletal discomfort — alongside workstation spot checks and department -level risk profiling. The output is an organisation -wide ergonomics baseline report that p rioritises risk by department and role — providing management with a clear, evidence -based roadmap for their ergonomics programme.
Organisations that begin ergonomics programmes without a baseline survey often invest in the wrong areas — addressing visible problems while missing the most significant sources of risk. A baseline survey ensures that resources are directed where they will have the greatest impact — and provides the reference point against which the effectiveness of future interventions can be measured.
Our certified ergonomists are available across India. From workplace assessments to complete ergonomic redesigns, a conversation is all it takes to improve employee health and productivity.
