DSE User Training

What is DSE User Training?

DSE User Training equips employees who use Display Screen Equipment — DSE — as a significant part of their daily work with the knowledge and practical skills to set up their workstation correctly, adopt healthy postures, manage screen time effectively, and recognise the early signs of screen - related musculoskeletal discomfort. DSE refers to any screen -based device used in the course of work — desktop monitors, laptops, tablets, and smartphones — and the health risks associated with prolonged, poorly managed DSE use are among the most prevalent occupational health concerns facing India's rapidly growing office and IT workforce.

The training covers correct workstation setup — chair height, monitor distance and angle, keyboard and mouse position, desk height, a nd lighting — alongside posture principles, the importance of regular movement and micro -breaks, eye health management, and practical self -assessment techniques that employees can apply independently. The programme is delivered in a format accessible to al l levels of IT literacy — from experienced corporate employees to first -time office workers — and includes a self -assessment checklist that participants take away and use at their own workstation.

Organisations with large screen -based workforces that do no t invest in DSE training carry a significant and growing musculoskeletal health burden — one that manifests in neck and shoulder pain, wrist strain, lower back discomfort, and eye fatigue across a substantial proportion of their workforce. DSE User Trainin g addresses this risk at scale — building the self -awareness and practical capability that allows employees to protect their own health, reducing the cumulative cost of screen -related musculoskeletal disorders across the organisation.
