Consent to Establish & Consent to Operate (CTE & CTO) — SPCB Support

What is a Consent to Establish & Consent to Operate (CTE & CTO) — SPCB Support?
Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate are the two primary environmental permissions that industrial and commercial units are required to obtain from State Pollution Control Boards before establishing a new facility or commencing operations — under the Water Prevention and Control of Pollution Act and the Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Act. CTE is obtained before construction or installation begins — authorising the establishment of the facility subject to specified conditions.
CTO is obtained before operations commence — authorising the operation of the facility within the pollution control standards and conditions specified by the SPCB. Both must be renewed periodically, and the conditions attached to each consent must be complied with throughout the consent period. EGSS provides comprehensive CTE and CTO support — preparing and submitting applications, managing SPCB liaison, responding to queries and conditions, coordinating inspection visits, and supporting the renewal process — ensuring that clients obtain and maintain their consents without operational disruption.
