What is a Fire Scheme Approvals?

Fire Scheme Approval is the process of obtaining statutory approval from the relevant fire authority for the fire safety design of a building — a mandatory requirement for all buildings above defined thresholds before construction, fit-out, or change of use commences. The approval process involves preparing fire safety drawings and documentation in the format and to the standard required by the relevant state fire service, submitting the application, responding to queries and objections raised by the authority, and obtaining the approved drawings that form the basis for installation and subsequent fire NOC applications.

EGSS supports developers, architects, and project managers through the fire scheme approval process — preparing compliant fire safety drawings, managing the submission and follow-up process, and coordinating with fire authorities to achieve timely approvals.
