Social Policy & Framework Development

What is a Social Policy & Framework Development?
Social Policy and Framework Development involves designing the overarching policies and governance structures that define how an organisation manages its social responsibilities — covering its commitments to workers, communities, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders, and the systems through which those commitments are implemented, monitored, and reported. A social policy framework typically includes an overarching social responsibility policy, specific policies on human rights, labour standards, community engagement, grievance management, and supplier conduct — alongside the governance structures, roles, responsibilities, and accountability mechanisms that give the policies operational effect.
It provides the formal foundation from which all social management activities are directed and monitored. EGSS develops social policy frameworks that are aligned with applicable international standards — including IFC Performance Standards, UN Guiding Principles, and ILO conventions — and designed for practical implementation in the Indian operational context, providing organisations with a credible, comprehensive social governance architecture that meets the expectations of institutional investors and development finance institutions.
