ESG Due Diligence — IFC Performance Standards

What is a ESG Due Diligence — IFC Performance Standards?
ESG Due Diligence aligned with IFC Performance Standards is a comprehensive investigation of the environmental and social risks and impacts associated with a project, business, or investment — conducted in accordance with the eight Performance Standards of the International Finance Corporation, the globally recognised benchmark for environmental and social risk management in private sector investment. The eight IFC Performance Standards cover assessment and management of E&S risks, labour and working conditions, resource efficiency and pollution prevention, community health and safety, land acquisition and involuntary resettlement, biodiversity conservation, indigenous peoples, and cultural heritage — each representing a dimension of E&S risk that investors and lenders must assess and manage to meet international best practice requirements.
EGSS has directly supported ESG due diligence engagements for development finance institutions, private equity funds, and impact investors operating in India — delivering assessments that meet the standards expected by IFC, ADB, World Bank, and other institutional clients.
