ESG Audit

What is a ESG Audit?
An ESG Audit is an independent evaluation of an organisation's ESG performance, data quality, management systems, and disclosure practices — conducted against applicable ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and the organisation's own stated ESG commitments and targets. The audit examines the robustness of the organisation's ESG data collection and reporting processes, the accuracy and completeness of disclosed ESG metrics, the effectiveness of ESG management systems and governance structures, and the alignment of ESG practices with the requirements of applicable frameworks such as GRI, BRSR, TCFD, or IFC Performance Standards.
It is used to provide investors and stakeholders with independent assurance of ESG performance, to identify gaps in ESG management and reporting before external scrutiny, and to strengthen the credibility and reliability of the organisation's ESG disclosure — an increasingly important requirement as investor and regulatory expectations around ESG assurance continue to rise.
