Mock Drill & Evacuation Exercise Management

Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Management Header

What is a Mock Drill & Evacuation Exercise Management?

A mock drill is a simulated emergency exercise conducted to test an organisation's emergency response capability — evaluating whether emergency plans, procedures, personnel, and equipment perform as intended when an emergency scenario is activated.

Effective mock drill management involves more than simply sounding an alarm. It requires careful scenario design, pre-drill briefing of participants, real-time observation and recording during the drill, and a structured post-drill debrief and corrective action process — to ensure that lessons are captured and improvements are made.

EGSS designs, facilitates, and evaluates mock drills and evacuation exercises across all types of facilities — from industrial plants and warehouses to hospitals, commercial buildings, and educational institutions — ensuring that exercises are realistic, well-structured, and genuinely useful in improving emergency preparedness.
