ISO 22000 — Food Safety Management System Implementation

Food Safety Header

What is a ISO 22000 — Food Safety Management System Implementation?

ISO 22000 is the international standard for Food Safety Management Systems — providing a framework for organisations across the food chain to manage food safety hazards and ensure that food is safe for consumption at the point of delivery to the end consumer.

The standard integrates the principles of HACCP — Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points — with the systematic management approach of ISO management system standards. It covers interactive communication across the food chain, system management, prerequisite programmes, and HACCP principles — applicable to all organisations directly or indirectly involved in the food chain.

EGSS supports food businesses through the complete ISO 22000 implementation journey — from gap assessment and hazard analysis through system documentation, training, internal audit, and management review — building the capability needed for certification and sustained food safety performance.
