EHS Due Diligence

What is a EHS Due Diligence?
EHS Due Diligence is a structured investigation of the environment, health, and safety risks associated with a business, asset, or facility — conducted in the context of investment decisions, acquisitions, project financing, or regulatory approvals.
The assessment evaluates historical and current EHS liabilities, regulatory compliance status, environmental contamination risks, occupational health and safety performance, and the adequacy of existing EHS management systems. It provides the investing or financing party with a clear understanding of the EHS risk profile of the target — and what remediation or improvement may be required.
EGSS has directly supported EHS due diligence engagements for development finance institutions, private equity funds, and multinational corporations — including assignments aligned with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, and other internationally recognised benchmarks.
